Core Design Principles

  • Business only with members
  • Active user membership and their participation in business and governance – No Free Riders
  • Member equity in proportion to patronage – ‘building skin in the game’.
  • Patronage based member classes and member class representation on the Board to ensure inclusiveness in governance
  • Appropriate mechanism for member communication and grievance redressal.
  • Each Member has to have her own savings bank account so that payment is credited directly by MPC.
  • Professionally managed business operations and economy of a scale sufficient to ensure viability and self-sustenance at the earliest.
  • Building an efficient value chain management for maximizing returns to members
  • Leveraging technology for information and data management to ensure transparency and deliver need based services.

Eligibility for Membership:

An individual woman producer or a producer Institution engaged in the production of milk from milch animals owned by her and is responsible for the care and management of cows/buffaloes would be eligible for applying for Membership of the Company. Membership shall be limited to only one producer from each household.

An Individual women producer or a producer Institution willing to become a Member of the Company shall apply in prescribed application form to the Company and undertake in writing to abide by the provisions of the Memorandum and the Articles of Association of the Company.

No person who has any business interest which conflicts with the business of the Company shall become a Member of the Company.

How can a member continue her membership?

For continuation of the membership, the following criteria are to be followed:

  • Minimum 500 Liters of milk should be supplied in a financial year.
  • At least 200 days of supply should be ensured in a financial year.
  • Subscribe for additional shares matching the annual milk supply agreeing to contribute Rs. 1/- per liter of milk supplied.
  • Milk supply in winter months (November to February) by a member in a financial year should not exceed three times the supply of summer months (April to July).
